The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce is an 1,800-member organization committed to creating a better community in which to live and work. Its members represent virtually every business category, all products and services, start-ups and multi-generational ownership, million-dollar profits and month-to-month payrolls. The Chamber offers members a variety of benefits that include business promotion opportunities, professional development, business resources, community development and a host of programs to make sure everyone has the chance to be involved and get the most from their membership. The Chamber is a place to bring business people together. It is the trusted convener—a place to learn from each other; share ideas, challenges and best practices; and to grow professionally and personally. It also builds networks based on beneficial relationships by putting members face to face with potential customers, which creates visibility and breaks the feeling of isolation that is common with small-business people. Often behind the scenes, the Chamber serves as an advocate for the business community by directing community initiatives that improve the viability of the local economy and by representing business interests to media, government and elected officials.

I had an awesome meeting with Dr. Presnel this morning. I was blown away by how resourceful she is. She gave me several ideas and opened my mind to areas that I had never though about. I cannot put any realistic price tag on the value I got this morning. It is priceless!!! The actual value is going to be determined by what I do with her suggestions. And I like ALL her ideas. In my opinion, there is NO reason for any Chamber member not to want to meet with Dr. Presnel. Even with people who think they are veterans in business and think they already “know it all,” I would remind them of what legendary Basketball Coach, John Wooden, said; “It is what you learn after you know it all that counts.” I am personally going to encourage every chamber person I talk to, to schedule an appointment with Dr. Presnel.
