We decided to replace our 20+ year-old roof and asked several friends for references.  To a person Dale Tadlock was the choice.  The estimate went very well and all kinds of options were explained.  We purchased a roof with a lifetime system, as well as a solar-powered attic fan. 

Initially we had a four-week wait; however, we lucked out and had the roof replaced two weeks earlier.  The job took two days and there was someone available to answer all the questions I had.  After each day's work the roofers thoroughly cleaned up the driveway.

We've received many compliments on our roof, and we can already feel the house staying cooler.

We own a historical home in downtown Tallahassee. When we decided to replace the original asbestos roof we knew that the project was not going to be easy. My wife and I have restored several old homes so we expected worse case scenario. In conjunction with Tallahassee's Architectural Review Board we obtained 3 bids. We hired Tadlock Roofing for the job. We decided on an Energy Star Roof from Tamko Metal Works. First, we worked closely with West Edwards of Tadlock, who patiently guided us through the process. He educated us on the pros and cons of the available choices. His experience and knowledge of the field is extensive. Also, he is very aware of energy conservation concepts. His consultation on types of insulation and roofing methods were invaluable. The Asbestos Roof removal was carried out safely and professionally. It was done in an expedient manner. Then the insulation team came in and completed their job in a professional manner. Afterwards, the metal roofing crew arrived. They were excellent. All through the process we were kept abreast of the steps. In addition, we had two flat roofs completed which resolved several headaches. We found Tadlock Roofing to be extremely competent and they delivered a beautiful roof which surpassed our expectations.

Working with the company is convenient, expedient and their ultimate goal is the satisfaction of the customer. I found them to be responsive and their crew supervisors Monte and Stewart are very professional and helpful. The work on our home was completed as promised; and finished within two days. They show up early often, and work hard, the crews were polite. My only concern was that in the interest of finishing on time, workmanship was not as thorough as it should have been. However, one phone call to Monte resolved the issue and the ridge vent was replaced and set properly within a day. I know that the weather was partially responsible for the haste in completion, and because of their concern in customer satisfaction, it was immediately fixed. They handle all the paperwork and follow all legal requirements in the process; and I would not hesitate to recommend Dale Tadlock Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof. Jena works in the office and is friendly and helpful and answered all of my questions all the time! I would definitely have them work on my home again.

In November 2009, we had a rather large, steep-pitched roof replaced and some additional insulation blown into the attic.  We are very satisfied with the quality of the work and the workers.  I can only assume from what appears to be good, quality work that we'll be happy with the long-term performance of this roof.  And it looks *GREAT*!

Pros: Excellent, first-rate presentation of what they offer ("sales pitch") and the technologies behind the products they offer.  Excellent, first-rate communication prior to and during the job.  Excellent work crew.  The work crew did a wonderful job of cleaning up the site after each day's work (our job took three days)!

Cons: While barely worth mentioning, I was a bit surprised that the final process of paying for the work didn't go the way I assumed it would.  We had to specifically request Release of Lien paperwork (This protects the homeowner if the roofer were to fail to pay their suppliers.).  We also had to specifically request the Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form (This is what you use to get a discount on your home owners insurance for wind mitigation measures taken.  It's $$$ in your pocket, so don't forget it!).  Finally, during the "sales pitch" we were told that we'd be shown digital pictures of the insulation blown into the attic to the "R" value agreed.  I had to specifically request these and was told they would be mailed to me at a later date.  So, I would recommend that their "check-out" process automatically include all of the above information without having to be requested.

With the "Pros" being the things that matter most (quality of the work, etc.) and the "Cons" being minor, back-office type things, I have to say that we're pleased with Dale Tadlock Roofing and would definitely recommend them to our friends!

A great deal of time and enegy were spent this summer in researching local contractors.  I eventually chose Dale Tadlock Roofing.   I made an excellent choice:  Office staff and work crew were professional and considerate at all times.  The site foreman, crew leader, and team always arrived early and on-time, as well as crew members cleared the site of debris at the end of each day.  Also, crew was careful around flower beds and shrubs.     It was a job well done.

T.S. Faye decided to drop a 100ft. tree on the corner of my roof, with what seemed to be a glancing blow. After trying to engage a number of local roofing companies with no success (apparently they felt the job was too small and not worth their time), I finally was referred to Dale Tadlock Roofing -- Thank Goodness! Within days, the damage was assessed and a professional plan was put in place to restore the roof to original condition. Their team arrived as promised and quickly reconstructed the damaged area, even having to match a shingle color that was no longer in production. Great job!
