Lake Munson Dam Rehabilitation
Leon County is seeking the services of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) certified contractor for the rehabilitation of an existing concrete dam structure owned by Leon County. The structure is approximately 175 feet long and is comprised of cast in place steel reinforced concrete, concrete sheet piles, and 4 sheet steel Tainter Gates. The project is located in Section 26, Township 1 S, Range 1W of Leon County, Florida. Major work items to be performed include, but are not limited to:
• Install upstream sheet-pile cutoff wall and concrete approach slab
• Remove all Tainter Gates and replace with 2 cast iron slide gates and 2 concrete bulkheads
• Raise existing concrete overflow weirs
• Construct maintenance access-way across top of dam
• Construct concrete bank protection along edges of channel and construct graded filter and riprap system downstream of dam
