Becoming You: A Pathway to Wellness through North Florida Women’s Care
When North Florida Women’s Care made its debut in Tallahassee in August 2008, Becky Shepard joined the team as a Licensed Aesthetician in the Aesthetics Division, known better as Becoming You. Since then, she has brought a range of services and exclusive products to the Tallahassee area.
Native to Tallahassee, Becky grew up with a desire to serve her community through cosmetology. That dream was put on the backburner until she and her husband relocated to Dallas, Texas, and she needed to find a job. Becky seized the opportunity by becoming a Licensed Aesthetician through the Cosmetology Career Center. She further advanced her skills through training at the Dallas International Dermal Institute, before jumping into the industry, working under one of the premier Cosmetic Dermatologists in the area. Becky returned to her hometown shortly thereafter, and has been embracing Florida training programs to enhance her skills ever since. Some of her biggest industry achievements include becoming a Certified Clinical Electrologist (CCE) and Certified Medical Electrologist (CME).
Through Becoming You, Becky offers myriad services that are appropriate for both men and women of all skin types. Specifically, she provides chemical peels; cosmetic/laser consultation; European facials; facial waxing; Paraffin hands and feet treatments; and other signature facials with epidermal leveling. Additionally, Becky sells various clinical skin care products such as Clarisonic, EltaMD and Revitalash, and has exclusive rights in Tallahassee to sell Mineralogie mineral makeup and SESHA skin therapy.
When she is away from her clients, Becky enjoys spending time with her family as well as boating, exercising and taking trips to the beach. To contribute to the community she’s always considered home, Becky participates in Chamber functions, the March of Dimes, Hearts for Cure and other good causes—especially as they pertain to women’s health care.
Becky explains that working for Becoming You, under the larger North Florida Women’s Care umbrella, is a nurturing and rewarding experience. She loves serving Tallahassee and looks forward to what the future holds. She explains that with a constantly-evolving industry like hers, people can bet on seeing new and exciting products down the road.
