GroupFit Studio offers group classes, specialized programs, fitness programs for kids, birthday parties and MORE! The classes are designed to provide a variety of body changing, heart pumping, and mind/body motivating workouts.
All of GroupFit Studio’s professionally trained staff are committed to providing you with a complete mindset of fitness. This includes proper knowledge of healthy fitness, nutrition, a productive workout and having fun at the same time.
Hours are by appointment and class time. We schedule appointments at almost any time depending on the day for your convenience.
GroupFit Workouts
Pilates
With an emphasis on breath, core conditioning and body awareness, PILATES exercise is a safe and highly effective way to stretch, strengthen and streamline your body without building bulk or stressing your joints. Performed on a mat or specialized equipment, PILATES is a fitness regime for a lifetime. The perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, sport, rehab and life, PILATES exercises will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized and moving with ease.
Kickboxing
This popular form of kickboxing is known as aerobic or cardiovascular (cardio) kickboxing, which combines elements of boxing, martial arts, and aerobics to provide overall physical conditioning and toning. Unlike other types of kickboxing, cardio kickboxing does not involve physical contact between competitors - it's a cardiovascular workout that's done because of its many benefits to the body, specifically your core. This fast-paced, whole-body workout is a great way to increase your stamina, flexibility, strength, and to get in shape.
All Levels Yoga
Unwind from the weekend and approach the work week ahead feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! The style of yoga taught is called Vinyasa or simply flow yoga. This all-levels yoga class offers a fluid practice that focuses on linking breath and movement as we flow through the poses building flexibility, strength, balance, and body awareness. Utilizing this concentration you will build necessary muscle memory that will quickly take your practice to new heights. All are welcome; this class can be modified to fit any experience and fitness level.
F.I.T.
This workout embodies all the components of fitness, including strength, balance, flexibility, core, and cardiovascular exercises. Functional fitness is a more effective approach to weight lifting because it mimics movements actually involved in sports and everyday activity. Rather than working on muscle groups in isolation, F.I.T. focuses on exercising and strengthening several muscles and joints together to help burn calories more efficiently and help people perform their daily activities with greater ease and less pain and discomfort
Urban Ballet
This is not your average ballet class. Urban ballet uses hip hop and other popular music of today to make ballet a little more exciting. You don’t have to be experienced to have a good time. So come improve your flexibility, rhythm, and overall fitness by dancing to these exciting beats.
Tribal Fusion Bellydance - Drills and Conditioning - All levels
On Thursday evenings, Tribal Fusion Bellydance takes its primary inspiration from group-based improvisational styles like American Tribal Style, but fuses these movements with other styles of dance like hip-hop, breakdancing, flamenco and jazz. Set to a variety of music from Gothic/Industrial to Electronica and modern remixes of Arabic music, Tribal Fusion truly is an edgy, contemporary styling of bellydance. In Tribal Fusion - Drills and Conditioning, students of all levels will become acquainted with basic bellydance movements like hip lifts/drops, chest work, snake arms and shimmy through drills. After basic moves, we will learn how to "pop and lock" and sharpen these movements to achieve the crispness and precision of movement that are the hallmarks of Tribal Fusion. At the end of class, we put all that we learned together and dance! Whether you are beginner looking to learn the basics, or an advanced dancer seeking conditioning drills and fusion styling, this workout is for you!
