It all started with a passion, some brainstorming, and one ad on craigslist. Just seven months ago, Craig Fogaros decided to take his 15 years of experience in the I.T. industry and apply it to a venture of his own. Remote Support Geek was thus founded, and has now been expanded to We Fix Bad Computers and solving computer problems all over the country ever since.

Craig’s exposure to technology dates back to his childhood. At five years old, he was already tinkering with anything that had a plug. Timing was a huge factor in Craig’s interest. He grew up alongside the birth of the internet and development of I.T. networking. For him, computers were a fun, teenage hobby. Craig actually joined the I.T. profession at 16 years old and has since worked for companies as large as the U.S. Coast Guard and as small as businesses with three to four employees. He spent most of his time as a contractor, working where he was needed, fixing any problems that came along. Craig explains that essentially, if it plugs into a wall, he can fix it or figure out how to quickly.

At We Fix Bad Computers, Craig and his team don’t just fix computer problems; they do so at the absolute convenience of the customer. All services are remote, meaning the customer never has to leave the comfort of his/her home or office. The process begins with a customer’s phone call. He/she explains the problem and then allows the “geek” to establish a remote connection to the computer. Then, the customer can sit back and relax while the issue is tended to and rectified. Customers don’t have to feel uneasy about allowing someone else’s access to the computer, because appropriate measures are taken to ensure the utmost security and discretion. Furthermore, services are handled at flat rates, which also put the customer at ease.

The team handles everything from virus and spyware removal to thorough cleansings and full defragmentation. Basically, as long as the problem is unrelated to hardware, We Fix Bad Computers can and will fix it. As customer service is the number one priority, Craig and his team remain on-call. Their phones and laptops are always with them so that they can honor requests at any time; even help at 2 a.m. on Saturdays is available.

When he is not working, Craig enjoys poker, online gaming, cooking, reading, and learning. He also loves spending time with his girlfriend, Liz, who is vice president of the company.

Craig looks forward to watching his business continue to grow and develop. He has loved the experience thus far and all the learning that comes along with running his own operation. With the mentality that someone else’s problem has to become yours when you are in business, Craig will continue to help customers in any location at any time of day with their computer needs.
