United Way celebrating city, county support with 'Dancing with the Stars ... United'

The United Way of the Big Bend will be celebrating city and county employees’ continued community support as local leaders show off their dance skills in an event called "Dancing with the Stars … United."

City of Tallahassee City Manager Anita Favors Thompson, Leon County Administrator Parwez Alam, Leon County Commissioner Akin Akinyemi, Tallahassee City Commissioner Debbie Lightsey and other local-government leaders will be participating in the friendly competition.

The event is from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Kleman Plaza and will also include a city vs. county tug-of-war competition and a meet and greet with some of the UWBB's certified agency representatives.
