Business & Professional Women/Tallahassee's Quarterly Networking Social: "UNhappy Hour"

Thu, 11/20/2008 - 5:30pm
Thu, 11/20/2008 - 7:30pm
US/Eastern

It may be 2008, but women still make 77 cents to a man’s dollar, for doing the same job with the same qualifications! Famous Dave’s restaurant has graciously agreed to bridge the equity gap, if only for an evening, by serving drinks to women at a drastically discounted rate while men drink for the regular price.

Come learn about the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, hoist a drink to workplace equity, learn about reforms that groups like BPW are working to enact, and meet a terrific group of local professionals for networking and relationship-building. Anyone who cares about equity for women in the workplace and would like to meet a dynamic and professional community of people should plan to attend!

DATE/TIME: Thursday, November 20, 2008, 5:30 p.m.—7:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Famous Dave’s Barbecue, 1926 Capital Circle N.E.

PRICE: Cash bar with discounted beer and wine for ladies
