County Judge Judith Hawkins made her mark in history when she was elected in 1996 as the first African-American judge ever in Leon County. However, this honoree in the Tallahassee Democrat's 25 Women You Need to Know prefers to be free from her courtroom to work in the community and even in various cities around the world.
