The Early Learning Coalition is excited to announce their 2nd Annual Sweetheart Raffle. A week stay at a beautiful 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom beach house and carriage house located in Rosemary Beach, Florida will be raffled off. Tickets will be available January 1st for a $25 donation per raffle ticket. Tickets are available on the web at www.elcbigbend.org or by calling 385-0551. Fun and energetic dancing for all ages. Contra dancing is similar to square dancing but performed in lines where couples progress. A live string band plays jigs, reels and old-time tunes. A caller teaches each dance before music begins. No partner or experience required. First timers should arrive by 7:30 for lessons. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. For first quarter 2010, BPW teamed up with the Zonta Club of Tallahassee to collect new towel and twin sheet sets for women seeking shelter at the Refuge House, a local safe haven for victims of domestic and sexual violence. When women and their children ready to leave the Refuge House and reenter society, they often do so with nothing of their own. These towel and sheet sets will give them something to take with them as they build a new life free of abuse. Start: 11:00 am
