WHERE: The family fun event and ride start/finish points will be at Celebration Baptist Church, 3300 Shamrock East off Centerville Road in Tallahassee.
WHAT: The Ride for Hope is a fun-filled cyclist and wellness event for the entire family. There will be five different distance rides from a 5-mile family fun ride to a 100-mile "century".

The Florida DEP's Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park will host a digital photography workshop on Mondays, May 4 and June 8, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Taught by professional photographer Don Williams, the workshops will teach participants how to create a photographic composition, the shooting effects of color and black and white images, flash usage, depth of field, linear perspective in two dimensional photography and exposure priorities and settings. Computer programming, combined with hands-on outdoor photography sessions, will enhance student photography skills.

The power point program was given by Bruce Drye, the Florida Marine Turtle Permit Holder for St. George Island. Bruce's 18 years of experience monitoring turtle nesting on St. George enables him to speak about the sea turtles that return here to nest. Attendance at the Turtle Talks ranged from two visitors to 78 visitors and totaled just under 500 people in all.
