Any small business person will get the same recommendation. For success, arm yourself with a cadre of professionals in the areas where you are not an expert – an attorney, a bookkeeper, a web designer, a marketing specialist, and in some cases most importantly – a reliable computer technician.

Julie Tennyson happens to be such a technician. A specialist in the computer needs of small to medium sized businesses with up to 25 employees, Julie is “a computer whisperer” who keeps laptops, desktops and networked systems up and running for maximum efficiency.

With over 17 years experience in various segments of the computer industry, Julie is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, who is A+ hardware certified and has her COBOL certification for mainframe programming. She created Tennyson Solutions in 2001 to assist business owners with the entire spectrum of computer needs. From planning the client’s computer system, providing backup systems, streamlining network access, advising on and installing software and hardware purchases, and providing one-on-one training, its Julie’s goal to keep the business lifeline – the computer – a consistently reliable company workhorse.

Julie finds that her clients most appreciate her method of assistance; she avoids technological jargon and communicates in a way that anyone can understand. Answering the phone personally and usually by the 2nd ring, she reports a quick response time and higher than average satisfaction rates on the work she does. While most of her clients are long-term and repeat, and frequently friends as well, it is her goal to provide new customers not only troubleshooting but clear explanations of the problem encountered, a choice of solutions at hand, and workarounds in the meantime.

Proving additional added value, Tennyson solutions routinely establishes safe computer protocol, information on software and anti-virus updates, software library organization, tips and tricks for more effective computing and informative workshops to help a lay person remove the mystery from computing.

A Tallahassee girl since 1981, Julie was born in South Dakota, and raised mostly in Panama City. She moved here to attend Florida State University, where she attained her degree in recreation and leisure management, but soon discovered her passion for the computer industry.

When she’s not working, Julie enjoys bike riding and gardening. She is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and serves as Secretary in leads group. Julie’s passion is to provide her expertise to educate and simplify the lives of her clients in any way she can. Call her to calm your chaos!
