TCBY: Serving healthy treats to Tallahassee residents in four locations
TCBY has been recognized and appreciated for it’s healthier, yet still delicious, alternatives to fattening ice cream since 1981. Just five years later, the frozen yogurt provider made its first appearance in Tallahassee and has been locally owned and operated from four locations ever since.
Brent Carr, general manager of the four TCBY shops, has loved being involved with the business and the community over the past three years. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Brent attended the University of Tennessee and attained his bachelor’s degree in psychology. After working for a small period of time in his home state, Brent discovered an opportunity to manage TCBY in Tallahassee and made the move. He was thrilled to jump into a line of work that makes customers happy on a daily basis by offering tasty and healthy treats.
TCBY continuously seeks new varieties of flavors to add to the menu, so as to keep its reputation as the country’s best frozen yogurt intact. The diverse selection contains something for every individual preference, including soft serve yogurt and sorbet, hand-scooped yogurt, beriyo yogurt smoothies, yogurt pies and cakes and more. Brent finds that the 96% fat-free content is what really appeals to customers looking to fulfill a craving without disrupting a healthy diet.
As a way to show appreciation to the community, TCBY sponsors various charities and donates to good causes. Brent has particularly enjoyed recent opportunities to support elementary school reading programs and even 5K events. In addition to reaching out to the community in years to come through continued philanthropy, Brent looks forward to seeing TCBY expand and open new locations around Tallahassee.
