Proforma Anchor Printing & Promotions: adding quality service to its list of products
Combining their skills and interests, Bill and Jane Parsons started Anchor Printing & Promotions in 1986. With Jane as President and Bill in charge of sales and marketing, the couple’s business became part of the top one percent in the industry. Wanting to take their success to an even higher level, they joined Proforma’s franchise, which is rated number one in the country for promotional products and number two for various print media. For the past 10 years, Bill and Jane have proudly contributed to the franchise’s high level of esteem with their local store, Proforma Anchor Printing & Promotions.
Jane, originally from Sweden, moved to New York when she was 10 years old and then to Tallahassee in her early 20’s. Around the same time, Bill’s company moved him to Tallahassee. They met, married, and decided to go into business together. Although many couples fear working together, they found that with Jane’s attention to detail and Bill’s experience in the print industry, they could create something great. Bill and Jane started their business with a specialty in continuous printing, but realizing the need to advance with the times, they added promotional products and corporate apparel to their list of services about 15 years ago.
Proforma Anchor Printing & Promotions includes promotional products, printing services, business documents, eCommerce solutions, multimedia services, and total project management. Bill and Jane realize that they are not alone in this industry, but believe their commitment to customer service sets them apart. Not only do they manage the warehouse, delivering and shipping, but they also provide inventory reports to keep their customers in the know. Bill and Jane are proud of the unique and strong rapport they build with their customers.
Bill and Jane are also strongly committed to the community. They have involved themselves in various organizations and events such as Big Brother and Big Sister, Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society, United Way, Boy Scouts, Rotary Club, and SCORE. They are especially proud of the large impact Springtime Tallahassee has on the community; Jane served as general chair from 2004-2005 and Bill was president the following year. As a tribute to all the hard work Jane exerts for the community, the Tallahassee Democrat voted her as one of the “25 women you need to know” last year.
Despite the harsh economy, Proforma Anchor Printing & Promotions has been able to stay grounded. Bill and Jane recently hired new salespeople and feel blessed that they are still able to move forward in difficult times. As the years progress, they look forward to watching their business continue to grow.
