Mike’s Limos: a variety of limousines for any occasion
Mike Vaughn loves car shows and has a passion for collecting cars—so after having what essentially was an epiphany, he decided to jump into the limousine business. He started Mike’s Limos in October 2000 and has been voted the Best Limousine Service in Tallahassee Magazine for the past five years.
While driving down Monroe Street in Tallahassee one prom night, Mike observed a bunch of happy teenagers sticking out of a limo. Seeing how much fun they were having, he decided he wanted to drive his own limo; no one in Tallahassee would give him that opportunity, so he decided to buy a limo of his own. What started as a hobby has now become a fun business. Although there were other limo services in town, Mike introduced Tallahassee’s first SUV limo: the super stretch navigator. Since then, he has purchased approximately three limos a year and now has 24 limos for the company.
Mike’s Limo provides transportation for virtually every occasion including proms, weddings, birthday parties, corporate needs, sporting events, etc. As an avid lover of vehicles, Mike is always adding to the collection. He continually searches to find the new and best limos available and because of that, he has a limo to suit the needs of any number of people for any purpose.
Not surprisingly, Mike finds that the community often craves his services, so he helps where he can. He is involved with charities such as Boy’s Town and the Refuge House to name a couple. Additionally, the company is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, and National Limousine Association, and sponsors Tallahassee’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
To Mike, a new limo is like a new toy. But what makes job truly rewarding is to see people enjoying themselves because of the service he provides. Though driving and buying limousines started as a hobby, they have since turned into a business he is passionate about and he looks forward to more years of continued growth.
