Harvard CPA: offering tax services to Tallahassee businesses and individuals
After realizing his specific interest in tax work, John Harvard decided to put his educational and practical training in the accounting industry to use with a business of his own. Harvard CPA has been serving Tallahassee businesses and individuals since November 2007.
Raised in Live Oak, Florida, John made the move to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University. With the completion of accounting, finance, and real estate degrees, he then ventured into the market. Over the years, he has worked for two accounting firms, one large and one small, doing everything from tax to audit work. John developed a strong interest in the tax side, and although he was in charge of operating the business, he wanted to manage one of his own. As a result, he founded Harvard CPA and is now coming up on his ninth tax season in the industry.
Harvard CPA handles tax preparation for both businesses and individuals. Specifically, the company offers financial statements, full bookkeeping, and consulting. John strives to address the needs and goals of his clients and always provides prompt, personal service. Clients appreciate his hands-on method, where he makes great efforts to get to know the people he serves.
When he is not working, John enjoys serving the community personally and professionally. He is involved in his church as well as the Chamber of Commerce, where he participates in a leads group. He is also on the board of the Leon County Schools Foundation and helps out with other organizations when given the chance. If he has free time, John likes to golf; however, his biggest priority is his family, and he loves spending time with them. He and his wife, Kimberly, have a son, Jack, and are expecting another soon.
As John has made Tallahassee his permanent home over the past years, he has grown fond of the area. He explains that Tallahassee is a growing community and therefore new businesses and opportunities are constantly arising. He looks forward to more clients and causes to serve in the future.
