Established for 39 years in Tallahassee, Gandy Printers serves the community as a one-stop shop for printing needs. Bernie Gandy III—president of the company—is proud of how the business has evolved over the years and is happy to carry-on what his father originally started.
Attached to his hometown and family tradition, pursuing an avenue other than Gandy Printers never crossed Bernie’s mind. He started working for his dad while in high school, cleaning the store at the end of the day. Soon enough, Bernie progressed through production areas and found himself at the front of the store, serving customers directly. He then moved into sales, later estimating, and now runs the place as president.
Gandy Printers is labeled a commercial offset printer, but offers digital and wide formatting services as well. It provides an overall solution for printing, whether it includes something as simple business cards and posters, or something more complex like newsletters, calendars, magazines and catalogs. Bernie emphasizes that in addition to providing a variety of services, his staff attends to each detail with precision and to each customer with care.
To give back to the only community he has ever known, Bernie offers pro-bono work for various charities. He is also involved in the chamber of commerce as a way to stay connected to other area professionals. In his spare time, he enjoys fly fishing, hiking, camping and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
The economy is rough, but Bernie looks forward to future opportunities for growth. Gandy Printers is already a one-stop shop for printing needs, but Bernie is excited to offer new products and services that community members will enjoy in years to come.
