Lew Wilson, an entrepreneur with a wide range of sales and marketing experience, did not grow up with his sights on becoming a realtor. In 2003, though, when he moved up North to be with his family, he sold his local business, American Exterior Cleaning, and became a realtor shortly thereafter. Upon returning to Tallahassee in 2007, Lew realized how much he enjoyed real estate and decided to continue with Armor Realty of Tallahassee. He founded the Estate Services Team to enhance real estate services for senior citizens through their relocation and for families when closing estates and has been meeting home buyers’ and sellers needs ever since.

Though Lew considers Tallahassee his hometown, he actually was born and raised in Illinois. At 18 years old, he joined the Marine Corps and traveled all over. His entire tour of duty lasted from 1973 until 1980, the last three years of which he spent on recruiting duty in Oklahoma City. In 1986, he moved to Tallahassee for the first time and took a job with the Florida Hotel and Motel Association as executive assistant and trade show manager, auction manager and membership director; Lew considers those positions the takeoff of his true career. As previously mentioned, he proceeded to use his entrepreneur instincts to start his own cleaning business in Tallahassee before discovering the world of real estate.

At Estate Services Team, Lew serves as a realtor for anyone interested in buying or selling. He takes a special interest in helping seniors relocate to new locations, including other homes, states, or even assisted living facilities; on the side, he has even written articles for the Tallahassee Democrat about senior relocation. It satisfies Lew immensely to take part in changing the lives of families for the better. After just one phone call, his team endeavors to handle everything families need to make the move as smooth as possible. He believes that quality communication and customer service are what create a job well done. In addition, his knowledge of and experience in the industry allow him to help his customers avoid needless costs or headaches throughout the entire process.

One of Lew’s favorite aspects of real estate is that it provides him enough time to contribute to the community. Over the years, he has coordinated and consulted for over 100 fundraisers for charities. Because golf is a hobby of his, Lew helped found the Fourth Quarter Celebrity Golf Tournament in 1989; the tournament benefits the Brandon Moeller foundation as well as the Tracey Biletnikoff foundation. He is also an ambassador and member of the Chamber of Commerce and volunteers at the Children’s Home Society. And of course, he loves spending time with his wife of 12 years as well as their dog, whom he jokingly refers to as their son.

When it comes down to it, Lew enjoys helping others wherever he can. He gets to do that on a regular basis with charity events in the community; on an actual day-to-day basis at Estate Services Team, though, he gets to help improve peoples’ lives by providing a smooth transition from one location to the next.
