Dave Fiore has been immersed in the communication industry in Tallahassee for over 20 years. In January 2001, he opened Fiore Communications, a full service communication firm. More recently in September 2007, he started a division called davemail and has been committed to developing it ever since.

Dave’s experience in the field dates back to his first years in Tallahassee. Born in Indiana and raised in Central Florida, he attended Florida State University and received a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. After graduating in 1986, he spent three years working for the state of Florida; he then proceeded to write for the Tallahassee Democrat until he became an editor at Tallahassee Magazine. For the next six years, he worked for the PR firm, RB Oppenheim Associates, and then decided to start his own company. At Fiore Communications, Dave’s clients often asked if he could help them with email newsletters. The requests led him to explore what services were already available to people; he found that many businesses wanted email newsletters but didn’t want to handle the tasks internally. As a result, Dave started davemail.

Thanks to davemail, businesses can have all their email newsletter needs met without having to sacrifice their own time and energy. Essentially, a company’s only responsibility is to express its expectations. Dave and his associates take over from there—they provide the writing, editing, layout, mailing, and even online tracking to keep the client perpetually aware of the message’s impact. Dave finds that the email newsletters are successful because they are highly effective and cost efficient ways to promote business. However, the email newsletters are just a means to an end. davemail is really about helping companies strengthen their relationships with their current clients/customers. Today more than ever, it is most beneficial for businesses to harvest existing relationships with past and present customers rather than put forth all effort in recruiting new clientele. By delivering consistent and useful information through the email newsletters, davemail can achieve a company’s overall bottom line—increasing business. Dave finds that his clients appreciate the interest he has in their success and are especially grateful in how simple, inexpensive and effective the whole process is on their end.

Dave’s commitment to his business is undeniable, but he admits his first priorities are faith and family. While at FSU, he met his wife, Robyn, in the marching chiefs. Together, they have six children, all of whom are homeschooled. Dave and his family are members of Four Oaks Community Church. Professionally, Dave is a member of the Chamber of Commerce; he is chairman of leads group 6 and is also involved with the chamber’s communications committee.

Dave has high hopes for even greater success for davemail, as its potential for its expansion appears limitless. The timing for the provided services is perfect—in a difficult economy, businesses can turn to davemail for inexpensive and effective help. And what’s even better, the businesses will see a difference in their bottom line without having to do much at all.
