Barineau Heating and Air Conditioning: improving indoor comfort of Leon and nearby areas
Established by Larry Barineau in 1972, Barineau Heating and Air Conditioning has been serving Tallahassee’s and surrounding area’s indoor comfort needs for 38 years. As the company has grown, Larry’s sons—Shane and Patrick—have joined the family business. Patrick, the younger, of the two, has been with the company 12 years and expresses his desire to help carry on what his father has started.
Born and raised in Tallahassee, Patrick attended Lively, a local trade school, to become more educated in the industry he was entering. He went to work with his contractor’s license in Florida and has also attained various certifications to stay relevant in the market. In all, he has earned his NADCA certification for indoor duct cleaning, ACCA certification for low calculations in system design, and NATE (North American Technician Excellence)—which is the highest level certification a technician can receive. Throughout his 12 years with the company, Patrick has transitioned from an installer to Sales Manager. When he is not working, he enjoys playing drums in a local band, fishing, going to the beach, and spending time with his wife and young son.
Barineau Heating and Air Conditioning serves Leon and the five surrounding counties in addition to South Georgia. Handling everything from residential to new commercial heating and air conditioning, the certified technicians honor service, new installation, and new construction requests. The company also sells carrier brands for customer convenience. Just as the staff dedicates time to certification training, it commits to remaining customer-focused at all times. As a result, the company offers same day service or repair so that customers never have to wait.
The family business also does its part to give back to the community that has blessed its growth for almost 40 years. A portion of the company’s budget goes to charities and special causes. In addition, the staff is interested in lending its services toward a home remodel for a needy family. Patrick is also involved with a chamber leads group.
Patrick admits that he does not see a limitation for the company’s future. It can progress and grow, he expresses, as far as the staff can take it. And since the business is run by family and other dedicated technicians who are like family, the possibilities of years to come are endless.
