In 1984, Bob Wilgus accepted a position in sales for a company based in Jacksonville with a satellite location in Tallahassee. As he was essentially a one-man office in Tallahassee, his wife, Mary Doug, decided to join in 1988 and oversee various projects so he could focus on the sales aspect. In 1992, she purchased the rights to transform the company into what is now known as Accent Office Interiors.

Accent Office Interiors, a full service contract furniture dealer in Tallahassee, has been serving Florida for the past 17 years. Services offered include office design, space planning, specification, project management, delivery installation, reconfiguration, and relocation; additionally, the company sells office furniture, filing systems, and applicable accessories. Mary Doug and Bob emphasize the importance of honesty in all customer relations; as a licensed interior design firm, the company ensures quality products backed by responsive service. Though Accent Office Interiors is located in Tallahassee, Accent’s experienced team installs products all over the state of Florida.

As a fifth generation native of Tallahassee, Mary Doug has strong roots in the community and feels compelled to give back. With her company, she donates various services and products to community members, organizations, and events when the opportunities arise. She is also involved in the Chamber of Commerce and has been since the company opened.

In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with each other and their extended family. They feel blessed to have both daughters living just a mile away, and enjoy babysitting their grandchildren regularly. Additionally, Mary Doug enjoys gardening, sewing and Bible studies. Bob is an avid woodworker and loves Pilates.

Mary Doug and Bob appreciate the creative and flexible elements at Accent Office Interiors and in the industry as a whole. They look forward to future opportunities to expand product lines and explore untapped markets.
